Foster care update:
"Jemima is doing great and settled in quite easily. I've attached some photos and also created an instagram account to help promote her - adoptmegreyound.
Some notes:
- walks really well on the leash
- we've encountered cats and dogs on the walks and she has been very good, didn't bark or over react, just was alert to them and continued on
- she has been at home alone for approx 8 hours whilst I've been at work and seemed to be fine, she is excited when I get home and follows me around for a little bit but settles quickly
- she loves going for a walk
- she doesn't bark when visitors arrive
- she is affectionate and loves a cuddle and tummy rub
- she has been really great with visitors and not showed any signs of being scared
- she loves to chase the ball a couple of times but let's you know when she's done
- she doesn't come to the table when we are having dinner or bother us for food
Overall she is an absolute delight and so placid, loving and fun to be around. She would certainly suit a low key, maybe older family, where she can relax with them, enjoy the pats and love and also have her play time with them and maybe a little walk."
Being an older girl, Jemima has a gentle and relaxed temperament making her an easy-going and low maintenance pet. She definitely has her playful moments though where she chases her toys around like a goof for 30 seconds (then has a nap!). She has a very affectionate nature and although she may be a little shy when first meeting new people, soon enough she will be snuggling into your lap for pats. Jemima is a real water dog and her absolute favourite pastime is splashing around or laying in her shell pool without a care in the world. Jemima is perfectly happy as the only pet in the family and doesn’t need company during the day, making her suited for full-time workers. Older, respectful kids are suitable, but a quiet home and lifestyle would be the best match for this gentle girl. Jemima doesn’t need super long walks and is happy with playing games or doing enrichment activities at home any time you don’t feel like being active!
