30 Greyhounds find their forever homes at Valentine's Adoption Day events

Greyhounds as Pets NSW is thrilled to share the heartwarming news that 30 Greyhounds found their forever homes at our Valentine’s Adoption Day events on Saturday, 15th February.

Across three locations in New South Wales - Burwood in Sydney, Wagga Wagga, and Bathurst we saw incredible support from adopters, volunteers, and industry participants who made the day a resounding success.

This year’s theme was Adopt Love This Valentine’s, and it encouraged families, couples, and individuals to open their hearts and homes to a Greyhound hoping to be adopted. The response was overwhelming, with an incredible 19 Greyhounds adopted in Sydney, 10 in Wagga Wagga, and 1 in Bathurst. Each adoption representing a beautiful new beginning for these gentle and affectionate dogs, now ready to enjoy life as beloved pets.

A massive thank you to everyone who played a part in making the adoption events such a success. To our dedicated staff, incredible volunteers, and industry participants your hard work, passion, and commitment is remarkable. From coordinating meet-and-greets to providing essential information about the Greyhounds and Greyhound adoption, everyone’s collective contribution demonstrated exceptional teamwork and ensured a wonderful experience for both adopters and dogs.
