Rocky is a sweet and sensitive greyhound looking for a loving family to help him settle into his next chapter. With experience around kids 12+ and other greyhounds, he would make a wonderful addition to a home with a calm canine companion. He has shown us some excellent social skills with other greyhounds, both on walks and off-leash. He’s polite and well-mannered, preferring relaxed interactions over rough play. If you have another easy-going medium-large breed dog at home, Rocky could be a great match.

Indoors, he has shown that he can be a quiet and well-behaved housemate. He settles easily, enjoys lounging on his bed, and even engages in independent play with his toys. He’s comfortable being left alone for short periods and doesn’t show signs of distress or excessive vocalization during our home simulation assessments. Rocky is currently working on his leash manners—he’s eager to get going on walks, so he’s learning better impulse control at doors and gates. He’s also getting used to stairs, confidently tackling small sets but still working up to longer flights. A family willing to continue this training will help him build even more confidence.

When it comes to small animals, Rocky is manageable and engaged with his handler. While he likely wouldn’t be suited to a home with small pets, he has shown he can remain calm in public settings with the right guidance. Rocky can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he’s comfortable, his affectionate and gentle nature shines through. With patience and kindness, he will become a devoted companion ready to share his life with his forever family.
