Volunteering isn’t just about giving - it’s about gaining. It’s about the heartwarming moments, the wagging tails, and the sense of purpose that comes from knowing you’re changing lives and creating happiness.
The joy of giving time
When you volunteer with us, you become part of something bigger. You help Greyhounds transition from the racetrack to the couch, preparing them for their forever homes. Whether it’s walking the dogs, assisting at adoption events, or simply spending time with them, your kindness and care make all the difference.
We have two types of volunteers; enrichment and community engagement.
Enrichment volunteers get to work alongside our staff at our Western Sydney adoption centre to provide enrichment and socialisation opportunities to the greyhounds that in our care. Experience in walking, handling and caring for dogs is desirable, however full training will be provided onsite.
Community engagement volunteers get to help at various industry and community events throughout the year as well as attend our Greyhound adoption events, if you’re interested in engaging members of the public, promoting the work we do and the amazing Greyhound breed, and assisting people who are looking to adopt a Greyhound, become a community engagement volunteer today. Volunteers attending these events should be confident speaking to a variety of different people. Full training and information will be provided prior to any events.
